There are people that work with attending family meetings. They make plans on attending once a year or some months. Do you attend such meetings or it doesn't matter much to you?

I do if I'm free and in the mood, don't care for extended family much.
How do you get to know how serious the matter is when you fail to attend the meeting?
The reason for a meeting is always made known. You can't just say there is a meeting, we should come. What's the meeting for?
You have a point here. The reason for a meeting should be clear.
It would be stupid of me to be invited to any meeting without being told the reason and I actually went for it.
I usually go to family gatherings when I have time to go.
Even if I have the time, but if the meeting isn't something that's going to be very fruitful for me, I won't go. I'm sure to have other better things to do.

I get that too. If your is always there for you, you should do the same thing for them.
How do you rate a meeting that is important from one that is not?
When you hear the meeting agenda, you would know I believe.
If every family member matters to you, there is no point not attending a meeting for the family.
Family meetings isn't about meeting who's important to me.
